Dr Zac Ivey

Zac graduated from his undergraduate medical degree at Monash University in 2011 and spent his junior doctor training time at Peninsula Health and Monash Health before entering the Monash Anaesthetic Training Scheme.

Zac completed a Master’s degree in perioperative medicine to gain a specialised understanding of the optimisation of patients complex medical conditions before, during and after surgery.

In 2019 and 2020 Zac completed anaesthetic fellowships at The Alfred hospital and The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne furthering his training in complex adult and paediatric anaesthesia.

With a special interest in caring for children undergoing surgery Zac has an appointment at Monash Health working predominantly at Monash Children’s Hospital and Monash Medical Centre where he regularly cares for patients undergoing paediatric surgery, vascular surgery, orthopaedic surgery, ear nose and throat surgery, general surgery, neurosurgery and obstetric surgery. He is also a member of the Society for Paediatric Anaesthesia in Australia and New Zealand (SPANZA).
