Our Anaesthetists

Priya graduated from her postgraduate medical degree at The University of Sydney in 2012 and spent her junior doctor years at Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney before moving to Melbourne and entering the Eastern Anaesthetic Training Scheme. This complimented her undergraduate studies in Biotechnology and Innovation Management. 

Priya completed a Masters degree in Medicine (Critical Care) from the University of Sydney in 2018 to gain a specialised understanding of Paediatric Pain Management, Medical Education and Simulation Training. 

In late 2020 and 2021 Priya completed subspeciality anaesthetic fellowships at Western Health in both Obstetrics and Medical Education as well as The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne in Paediatric Anaesthesia. She is fortunate to continue to work in these subspeciality areas in both the public and private hospital settings as a Specialist Anaesthetist. 

Priya is passionate about medical education of future trainees, quality improvement and facilitating positive patient experiences. She has a current full-time appointment at Western Health across multiple sites where she looks after Obstetric, Gynaecology, Paediatric, General, Endoscopy, ENT, Plastic, Ophthalmology, Vascular and Thoracic Surgery patients. Through continuous self-education and training, she is able to provide her patients with high quality and safe anaesthesia.
