I am fully accredited Fellow of the College of Anaesthetists of Australia and New Zealand (ANZCA) after having completed my anaesthetic training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital deanery. Upon completion of my training, I pursued a fellowship in neuroanaesthesia at Royal Melbourne Hospital before spending a year as a Visiting Assistant Professor at University of San Francisco (UCSF) in United States of America where my focus was in anaesthesia for complex spine surgeries. I have attained further qualification in use of ultrasound in anaesthesia by completing a post-graduate certificate through University of Melbourne.
I am currently working as a Specialist at Royal Melbourne Hospital, a major trauma hospital in Victoria and enjoy caring for the extremely unwell and complex medical patients undergoing surgeries, especially in trauma and neuroanaesthesia. In addition to my clinical appointment, I am a certified instructor in Advanced Life Support for the Australian Resuscitation Council, a faculty member of the National Airway Training Course for Anaesthetic Trainees and teach Anaesthesia for Neurosurgery for the Final Examination Refresher Course organised by ANZCA.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, traveling, hiking, fitness and spending time with family.
Professional fees for Anaesthetic Care
The fees for anaesthetic care vary according to:
• Specific operation or procedure
• Complexity, duration and timing of anaesthetic care
• Patient’s health status and provision of further services for care ie: post operative consults
The total fees (a combination of Medicare rebates, private health fund rebates and/or out-of-pocket gap payment) are based on guidance obtained from Australian Medical Association, the Australian Society of Anaesthetists and Medicare Benefits Schedule. Professional practice costs increase with or above inflation, but Medicare and health fund rebates have been indexed less than inflation. I aim to ensure that the total anaesthetic fee is transparent and reasonable; reflecting the specific patient’s needs.
Albert Street Anaesthetic Group staff will be dealing with all the necessary informed financial consent process and billing service.
