Dr Grainne Rooney is a highly experienced Consultant Anaesthetist with a proven track record in delivering safe, effective, and patient-centred anaesthetic care across a broad spectrum of surgical specialties including obstetrics, gynaecology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, general and plastic and reconstructive therapy.
Dr. Rooney completed her training in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine in Ireland during which time she received the Membership Exam Medal. She has completed fellowships in both general and obstetric anaesthesia and was subsequently appointed at Monash Medical Centre as a Staff Specialist Anaesthetist in 2022.
With over 10 years of clinical experience, Dr. Rooney is known for both her clinical excellence and also her caring, calm and reassuring presence in the operating theatre.
