Glen studied medicine at the University of Western Australia, graduating in 2003, and completed his internship at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth. He moved to Melbourne in 2005 and worked as a Resident Medical Officer at the Austin and Northern Hospitals before beginning his anaesthetic training at Western Hospital in 2008. His training took him through a range of city and regional hospitals, including Western, Sunshine, Williamstown, Shepparton, Ballarat, Royal Melbourne and Austin.

Since 2013 Glen has worked in private practice with Albert Street Anaesthetic Group, and he continues to work in the public system at Austin Health.

Glen enjoys teaching. He is an instructor in Advanced Life Support for the Australian Resuscitation Council and in the National Airway Training Course for Anaesthetic Trainees (NATCAT). He keeps his skills up to date through the Continuing Professional Development Program of ANZCA.

Each year Glen volunteers on a short surgical mission to Tonga, a commitment he has kept since 2015, first with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons’ Pacific Island Program and more recently with the Pasifika Medical Association.

Glen is married with two children, and despite many years in Melbourne, he remains a proud West Coast Eagles supporter.
