Dr Elliot Schulberg completed his medical degree at Monash University in 2010. He underwent his residency at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and Monash Health before undertaking Anaesthetic training through the Monash Anaesthetic Training Scheme. Elliot then completed a clinical fellowship year in Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, Canada. He returned to Melbourne to practice as a Specialist Anaesthetist in 2019. Elliot has also completed a master’s degree in Perioperative Medicine to further optimise patient care before, during and after surgery.
Elliot regularly cares for patients undergoing a broad range of surgeries. He has a special interest in using ultrasound guided nerve block techniques to deliver effective anaesthesia and pain relief for surgery. He has presented on this topic at workshops for fellow anaesthetic consultants and trainees.
Elliot holds public appointments as a Consultant Anaesthetist at Monash Health and St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and has assisted in developing protocols for knee replacement surgery at both these institutions. Dr Schulberg is also accredited at numerous private hospitals including Epworth, Cabrini, St Vincent’s, Ramsay and Healthscope facilities.
