Dr Anday Altas is an Australian trained and qualified specialist anaesthetist with local and international experience.
Dr Altas completed his Medical Degree at Melbourne University in 2010 before completing his specialist training in Anaesthesia through Monash Health (Melbourne).
Following completion of his specialist Anaesthetic training, Dr Altas undertook clinical fellowship at Toronto Western Hospital and further sub-specialist training through the University of Toronto (Canada) faculty of Anaesthesia. During this time, he sub-specialised in Neuroanaesthesia at Canada’s largest Tertiary Neurosurgical Centre with a focus on Anaesthesia for major intracranial neurosurgery and spine surgery.
He has since then returned to Australia and holds a specialist appointment at one of Victoria’s largest teaching hospitals at Monash Medical Centre and is a clinical lead in the neurosurgical program there. He is involved in training future generations of anaesthetists and has a special interest in teaching junior doctors. He also maintains a private practice at all leading private hospitals in Melbourne.
